Stage 5: Derive the logical data model
Knobit of Data modelling · K-520 · Skill
Recognises independently changing histories in one entity
What it means
In an entity that keeps history, attributes that change independently share one row and one validity period, so a change to any one repeats all the others and "when did X change?" needs consecutive rows compared.
How it is assessed
Flags the deficient case and passes the acceptable one. Deficient: Account Version (Account, valid from, account status, interest rate, servicing branch) Acceptable: One history per group of attributes that change together: Account Status History, Account Interest Rate History, each with its own validity
