Recognises SQL reviewed without being run
A .sql signed off by reading it. Most engines do not wrap DDL in one transaction, so a script that fails on statement 40 of 60 leaves a half-built schema that looks deployable and is not. The review cannot find a failure the engine has never been asked for.

What it looks like in practice
Expected result: The execution test it needs
How it is assessed: Flags the deficient case and passes the acceptable one. Deficient: Five dialects generated, Postgres run locally, and the Oracle and Databricks scripts approved by reading them; the Oracle deploy stops at the first check constraint over a BOOLEAN-derived NUMBER(1) column Acceptable: Every configured dialect executed against an empty database — a container or a scratch schema — in CI, with the drop script run afterwards. The gate for this stage is a green run, not a careful read
Also known as: SQL that has been read and never run (generated DDL)
